How can I support Kaleidoscope Kids?
Do you provide services in my area?
Kaleidoscope Kids currently serves families who live in Missoula County. As we grow and expand, our goal is to extend our early intervention therapy services to additional counties across western Montana, ensuring more families have access to the support they need during critical early developmental years.
Where are services provided?
Kaleidoscope Kids provides services in the natural environment, which research shows has the greatest impact on children from birth to age 3. The 'natural environment' refers to familiar, everyday settings where children typically spend their time—such as the home, daycare, parks, libraries, and other community spaces.
What services are provided?
Kaleidoscope Kids offers comprehensive therapy support services to support the individual needs of each child and family. Therapy services that may be recommended include speech therapy, feeding therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Our multidisciplinary team works closely with parents during developmental evaluations to understand the whole child and determine the most appropriate services.
What is early intervention therapy?
Early intervention provides support and therapy services to infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) who have developmental delays or disabilities. It focuses on helping children reach important milestones during a time
Who is eligible for services?
Children from birth to age 3 who are identified to have developmental delays, diagnosed disabilities, or are at risk for developmental delays may be eligible. A referral and developmental evaluation are typically the first steps to determine eligibility.
How much do services cost?
We do not charge families for therapy services. We bill private insurance and Medicaid when available, and cover any remaining costs through grants, fundraising, and community donations.
Do you work with parents and caregivers?
Absolutely! Families are a core part of early intervention. We partner with parents and caregivers during evaluations, goal setting, and therapy sessions to ensure support continues between visits.
How do I refer a child or get started?
A multidisciplinary team of therapists works with the family to assess the child’s development in areas like communication, motor skills, social-emotional development, and more. Together, we determine if services are needed and what those should look like.
Yes. We never let financial status be a barrier. Services are provided at no cost to families, regardless of insurance coverage.
What happens during a developmental evaluation?
